Lana D2025-01-01Verified Great! Affordable!!!! Highly recommend Pedro from Peru Jungle Trips. I only had a few days in Cusco, so I wanted to see as much as possible in my time frame. Pedro was so helpful in planning out my itinerary, and made sure that I spent New Years Eve seeing Machu Picchu and that I made it in time to Cusco for the countdown. Pedro not only gave me a very affordable rate (and that I know from comparing my quote to other travelers I met), but he was able to find last minute train tickets to and from MP for Dec 31st. He also made sure that at every destination, someone either picked me up or directed me to my next location. And of course, it didn’t go unnoticed that Pedro was constantly checking in on me to see how my activities and trip is going. Pedro genuinely wanted me to have a great holiday trip in Cusco. Chris2024-10-29Verified Book with them if you are passionate about wildlife We totally recommend to book with this agency and the guide Carlos and his team. The agency was always ready to answer questions and helpful to organize things. The guide Carlos - with good mastery of English - knew so much information about the wildlife of the Amazon and his great experience and knowledge provided a lot of context on what we see and experience in the Amazon. His team (cook and driver) were professional and the food was surprisingly very tasty and healthy. If you think of planning a trip to the Amazon and want to know about the biodiversity of this place, totally book with them! Sam P2024-08-16Verified 4 unforgettable days at Manu National Park We booked the 4 day Manu trip and had an incredible experience. We had a briefing the day before the trip began with our guide, who outlined the 4 days and gave us the opportunity to ask questions. The organisation of the tour was fantastic. We were picked up promptly in the morning, the meals that were cooked for us were incredible (some of the best we've had in Peru) and the accomodation in the jungle was clean and comfortable. Our guide Abel was incredible. He was very knowledgeable and kind and helped us to spot all sorts of animals. During our trip we saw 5 different species of monkeys, a huge amount of birds, wild pigs, spiders, frogs, opossums, a snake, a deer and more. It was a fantastically organised trip and one we'll always remember. If you're thinking of doing a Manu trip - book with these guys! They're amazing. julien33332024-08-03Verified Amazing Ausangate 5D trek Nice 5D trek around Ausangte mountain. The panorama is trully amazing. Anne Stolz2024-05-30Verified Thrilling Amazon Adventure with Jorge: Four Unforgettable Days in the Jungle I spent an incredible four days in the jungle, starting from Iquitos airport where I was picked up by a tuk-tuk. My adventure began with a visit to the Belem market, known for its exotic animals and herbs. We then embarked on a river cruise along the Amazon, spotting grey dolphins along the way. Our first stop was Oscar’s Lodge, where I met my guide Jorge and fellow travelers from the US/China. Each of us had a private lodge equipped with a small bathroom and mosquito nets, and the lodge even had Wi-Fi.In the afternoon, we ventured out to see the largest trees in the Amazon, noting the dramatic decrease in water levels over recent years. On our way, we encountered a rare animal called a 'tayra' or 'jungle dog.' Jorge also took us to a small village where we could hold alligators and anacondas and learn about medicinal plants and herbs. We traveled by either a canoe paddled by Jorge or a motorized canoe expertly guided by a young man named Juan, who had an incredible eye for spotting water lettuce from afar. Our meals were delicious and prepared by a lovely lady who catered to dietary preferences, offering options like pork, chicken, or fish with sides including salad, bananas, and regional juices like camu camu. On the first night, we searched for frogs and tarantulas. Each day, Jorge helped us spot and identify various monkeys and birds along the river. We visited the monkey rescue center, the jaguar village, and an island full of banana and sugar cane trees, always on the lookout for rare animals like the jaguar, whose tracks had been seen recently. When we weren’t exploring, Jorge shared stories from his 40 years of experience as a tour guide. He is an amazing, knowledgeable, and cheerful man who always went out of his way to ensure I had a great experience.Jorge even placed special spirals in my room to repel mosquitoes and caught a baby alligator for me in a fisher’s net. I can't fully describe how much I enjoyed my time in the jungle and with Jorge, the best tour guide ever. Thank you, Jorge!I made this trip alone because my friends didn’t want to visit the jungle, and I never regretted this decision. Jasmin M2024-05-28Verified An incredible 4 days on the Yanayacu River We spent 4 days and 3 nights the exploring the Peruvian Amazon. We booked in advance with Pedro - a really straightforward process where Pedro tailored the arrangements as needed and asked about any special requirements. The experience started with our guide Jorge taking us to the sprawling Belen Market in Iquitos where he taught us about different fish, meat and how various plants are used medicinally. We then set off for our lodge on the Yanayacu river, making a stop to a fish farm along the way where we saw piranha, alligators and lots of other fish. The lodge where we stayed is run by Carlos, Jose and their family, and it has a lovely family run feel. The location of the lodge was perfect: it is far enough from Iquitos for you to fully experience the jungle and feel close to nature, but not too far that it takes a long time to get there for a 4 day trip. During our time there, we went fishing for piranhas, we visited local communities, visited a monkey conservation centre and went on various walks and canoe rides to spot sloths, birds, tarantulas, frogs and the ancient trees of the rainforest. Unfortunately I fell ill during the experience, and was finding it difficult to acclimatise to the intense humidity of the rainforest. Carlos and his family at the lodge and Jorge were really flexible and adapted the itinerary in line with my recovery, which was much appreciated and meant that I could still make the most of my time there. We thoroughly enjoyed this trip - we really connected with the tranquility of the jungle during the visit and were sad to leave! What set the experience apart was Jorge's vast knowledge of the jungle and its flora and fauna as well as his super fun nature and sense of humour. Thank you Jorge and Peru Jungle Trips for an unforgettable time! GoPlaces194564456502024-05-04Verified An amazing experience at the Manu Nationalpark with a passionated Team We spent three nights and four days in Manu National Park. The entire organization was just perfect. Everyone, truly everyone, went out of their way to make our jungle trip an absolute highlight. It was clear from the way our guides, Abel and Raul, conducted themselves that they are passionate about their work and eager to share this passion with the visitors. They love the jungle and aim to protect it while showing it to others. The chef cooks with such passion and is visibly interested in whether the visitors enjoy his food. He cooks a variety of healthy and incredibly tasty meals. Keep it up, everyone! The bus driver is very pleasant, navigates the serpentine roads very safely, and always keeps an eye out to scout for animals. Ultimately, you feel like part of a small family. You are a team. I highly recommend this team. Thank you, dear team, for the unforgettable days with you! Harry G2024-04-25Verified Great tour! Thanks Raoul! I recently went on a 3-day rainforest tour and it was fantastic! Our guide (Raoul) was knowledgeable, enthusiastic and fun to hang out with. Manu reserve was stunning.
