Our tour begins with pickup at the airport or your hotel.

From there, we will embark on an adventure in the jungle, exploring the breathtaking landscapes and discovering the rich biodiversity that the Peruvian Amazon of Iquitos has to offer.

To begin, we will take a city tour to get a brief overview of the historical part of the city of Iquitos and its highlights, such as the Plaza de Armas, the Tarapacá pier, where you can admire constructions from the Rubber Boom era, including the Hotel Palace and Casa de Fierro.

Nanay

9:00 AM: Departure to Bellavista Port located on the Nanay River. In the small market, you can observe part of traditional Amazonian cuisine, such as grilled lizards, Juanes with tacacho, cecina, and the delicious Suris, considered a delicacy by the local population.

After boarding the typical boat (pamacari boat, Amazonian bus) on the Nanay River, we will encounter the sources of the Nanay, Itaya, and Amazonas rivers after just 5 minutes of navigation.

From this point, you can see the contrast between the turbid and black waters created by the union of these rivers as part of the Amazon River.

This sector is part of the habitat of the pink and gray freshwater dolphins.

Ecomuseum

Continuing with our journey, we will make a stop at the Chullachaki Ecomuseum, where we will learn about Amazonian cultures and ancient instruments, as well as introduce you to the magical world of medicinal and aromatic plants of the Mother Forest.

You will learn about Ayahuasca, a total expression of Amazonian cosmovision.

Here, we will also demonstrate medicinal oils and remedies, and you can enjoy emblematic drinks of the region (such as RC, 7 Roots, 7 Times Without Removing, LPM or “Raise Dead Bird”, etc.).”
