When is it the best time to visit Machu Picchu?

Although the Inca citadel is open to visitors every day, we highly recommend planning your trip between March and November. During this period often the skies are clear and you will get clear views of the Inca citadel and its surroundings.

During the rainy season however, the peaks are often covered under a blanket of clouds. This makes it somewhat challenging to marvel at the beauty of the lost city of the Incas.
